Justice for Model Town martyrs mission of my life: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri addresses press conference Addressing a press conference through a video link from Canada, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri has announced the schedule of his return. He said that he would reach Lahore on the morning of June 15 and lead the sit-in on The Mall on June 17 to demand justice for martyrs of Model Town tragedy. He said that he is guarantor of peaceful protest and peaceful sit-in, adding that the government should refrain from its highhanded tactics. He said that the corrupt rulers would not be able to complete their term in office. He said that the dawn of hope is in sight.

He said that peaceful Karachi is the sign of peaceful Pakistan. He said that restoration of law and order in Karachi is an eloquent success of the law enforcement agencies. Dr Hassan said that two years have gone by since the fateful day of Model Town tragedy and justice has not been provided to the aggrieved families. He said that it appears as if there is no justice system in the country.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri to lead sit-in in Lahore on June 17 Pakistan Awami Tehreek has decided to stage a sit-in on June 17 at the Mall Road Lahore. PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri will lead the sit-in. Announcement to this effect was made by PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur while addressing a press conference at the central secretariat here in Lahore on May 26 along with other members of the Core Committee. He said that the DCO Lahore has been informed about the PAT’s plan of a sit-in through a letter.

PAT holds demonstration for justice in front of anti-terrorism court Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) held a demonstration in front of the anti-terrorism court to seek justice for Model Town martyrs. Senior leaders and workers including women attended the demonstration in large number. Addressing the participants of the demonstration, Khawaja Amir Fareed Koreja said that we would fight the legal battle and take to the streets as well for justice in Model Town case. He said that two have passed and no headway has been made in the case as the heirs of the martyrs await justice even today.

PM’s address was joke with nation: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri In his reaction to the Prime Minister’s address to the nation, PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that revelations made by the Panama papers are proven and there is no need for further investigation. He said that the Commission will not produce any result, adding that the whole nation has been rendered clueless once again. He said that the Prime Minister did not address the nation but cracked joke with it. He said that threatening tone and tenor of the PM in his speech is the result of the London treatment.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri welcomes COAS’ statement about corruption PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has welcomed the Army Chief’s statement in which he stated that across the board accountability is necessary to break the nexus of the corruption and power. He said that time has come that the targeted operation is carried out against abettors and facilitators of the terrorists. He said that life of people remains at the mercy of the terrorists and their property at the mercy of looters and plunderers. He said that the Operation Zarb-e-Ghazab against the corrupt elements has become inevitable like the Operation Zarb-e-Azb against terrorists. He said that the corrupt ruling elite is facilitator of each other and the biggest of the abettors and facilitators have held meetings in London. He said that they have evolved joint strategy for their defence.

PAT takes out protest in front of Punjab Assembly in wake of Panama Papers Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) held a demonstration in front of the Punjab Assembly building to register its protest in the aftermath of the Panama scandal. The participants of the demonstration demanded of the Prime Minister to tender his resignation and establishment of the judicial commission under the Chief Justice of Pakistan. They said that they want the rulers to relinquish power and do not support the setting up of dummy commissions.

PAT’s symbolic protest & sit-in marks first anniversary of Islamabad tragedy n his message to the participants of the PAT rally held to mark the first anniversary of martyrs of Islamabad tragedy, PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that we would continue to wage a struggle against the oppressive rulers and the corrupt system till the last drop of our blood to seek justice for the martyrs of the Model Town and the revolution march tragedies. He said that the PAT workers have neither got tired nor given in. He said that increasing disappointment of the people with the non-delivering system was at the back of the sit-in. He said that the rulers did the most brazen thing by raising baseless allegations against the army. He said that the awareness created by the sit-in is producing results in the form of tightening of noose around the neck of the economic terrorists.

68th Independence Day celebrated at PAT’s central secretariat A prestigious ceremony was held at the central secretariat of Pakistan Awami Tehreek on the occasion of the 68th Independence Day and the first anniversary of the revolution march on August 14. A large number of workers including women and children attended the ceremony. Cakes were cut and special prayers were made for peace, progress and stability of Pakistan on the occasion.

Opposition parties stage joint demonstration against load-shedding The opposition parties staged a joint demonstration in front of the Lahore Press Club to protest load-shedding on June 26 (Friday). The participants of the demonstration chanted slogans against the government over its failure to manage power crisis in the country. Speaking to the participants, Dr Raheeq Abbasi said that the people have taken to the streets against the killer government having a fake political mandate. He said that after the Model Town tragedy, the rulers are responsible for 1300 deaths in Karachi as well.

Targeted at school and university students, imams and clerics initially across the UK and Pakistan and to be launched in London on Tuesday, Dr Qadri said the curriculum is part of the campaign to dissuade vulnerable teenagers from travelling to Iraq and Syria to join the jihadist outfit ISIS.

Enough is Enough: British Muslims to Launch a Counter-terrorism Curriculum For the first time, a UK based Islamic organisation has taken the initiative to confront ISIS head on using the texts which the terror groups misuse to radicalise and recruit young British Muslims. Newly constructed house handed over to family of Shaheed Iqbal on behalf of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri Speaking on the occasion, Dr Raheeq Abbasi said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri is taking care of the family of Shaheed Iqbal like his own family. He said that the promise of maintenance for the family we made is being fulfilled. He said that we are proud of the families of martyrs who rejected the offers of millions of rupees by the government, adding that the family members of martyrs are as determined as their martyrs.
