PM backtracked from accountability in Panama issue: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the Prime Minister announced to present himself for accountability over the Panama leaks issue but did not walk the talk. He said that the Premier concealed his assets and perpetrated the Model Town tragedy but none of the institutions like NAB, FIA, Election Commission or State Bank took any action, adding that his loyalists continue to man positions in these institutions. He said that we came to know through different sources that if the PAT had attended the Raiwind March and that too even symbolically, their plan was to get six, seven dead bodies and shift the blame on the PAT workers in an attempt to defuse the Model Town massacre.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that we filed a petition in the anti-terrorism court to make the Model Town judicial commission report part of the proceedings in the private complaint so that the honorable judge could be helped in regard to fair trial but our petition was rejected. He said that he presented watertight proofs regarding the working of the Indians in the factories of the ruling family, adding that if anyone wants to take action on this count, they would not be able to escape law. He said that the rulers cannot dare go to the courts against the proofs he presented. He said that it is demand of the whole opposition that fair investigation should be conducted into the Panama leaks, adding that we are with all political parties on the Qisas and Panama issues.
