Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri’s special message on Pakistan Day

In his special message on 23rd of March being celebrated today across the country, PAT chief Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that corruption and terrorism have defaced Pakistan of the Quaid-e-Azam. He said that the labourers, workers, farmers, clerks, peasants and downtrodden sections of society for whom Pakistan came into being have been compelled to resort to protests and suicides due to rampant poverty and starvation. He said that injustice has led to poverty and poverty has in turn paved the way for terrorism. He said that incompetence, corruption, mismanagement, shortcomings and criminal role of the national leadership over the last six decades are on the one hand but the stories of corruption and bad governance of last few months and weeks are on the other equaling the size and magnitude of mess witnessed in last 65 years.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri asked the so-called political leadership that has been in power for last 30 years or so to tell as to which kind of democratic, political, social, and economic morality they have put in place for people. He said that the incidents of terrorism, plunder of national resources and violence have injured the souls of patriotic Pakistanis. He said that national criminals will leave this world after paying back for their each and every act of commission and omission.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the concept of Islamic stated as envisioned by the Quaid-e-Azam on March 23, 1940 was informed by such lofty ideals as golden principles of Islam, equality, and provision of equal opportunities for growth. He said that our founding fathers could not have imagined that the country they were struggling to establish will be plundered so mercilessly, looted money will be stashed away in foreign banks, underprivileged sections of society will be forced to commit suicides, the government responsible for security of masses will kill its own innocent people and then the doors of justice will be closed on the powerless and the wronged.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the privileged class has perpetrated as much oppression as it was capable of, adding that he could now see the sun of justice and equality emerging soon. He said that the military has held out the hope in connection with elimination of terrorism. He prayed that the armed forces and people of Pakistan will win this most crucial war in the most important battle of national history. He said that he would congratulate PAT workers on the Pakistan Day, for they rendered glorious services in the struggle to save Pakistan as they offered during the freedom struggle. He said that the journey of revolution continues and this struggle will reach its logical culmination soon. He vowed to continue to work for people’s rights and change in the exploitative system of loot and plunder of state resources at the hands of the privileged elite.
