Qadri says FATA people peaceful, patriotic

LAHORE: Dr Tahir ul Qadri, Chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), said on Tuesday that the people of Federally Administered tribal Areas (FATA) are peaceful and patriotic; it is only a few terrorists who have taken FATA and other areas into hostage – ARY News reports.

He was talking to media on the eve of dispatching of relief goods for operation affectees of North Waziristan by Minhaj ul Quran International (MQI).

Tahir ul Qadri labeled the operation Zarb-e-Azb as the greatest Jihad and said that the people of Pakistan are standing by the Pakistan Army.

He said that 95 percent of FATA people are peaceful and patriotic citizens, only a handful of terrorists have taken them and their areas into hostage.

Qadri referred to it as a conspiracy to talk of negotiations, while an offensive is underway.

The PAT Chief elaborated that MQI in the first consignment sent 12000 packets of relief goods for the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan, which were sent on 14 trucks.

He added that soon another consignment of relief goods will also be dispatched and the MQI will not refrain from helping Waziristan refugees in this difficult hour of time.
