APCs’ facade is erected to hide incompetence: PAT

PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur has said that the rulers hide their incompetence and incapacity each time they put up the facade of calling the meeting of an APC. He said that it is the government which got the mandate to govern and take policy actions, stating that the Prime Minister should inform the nation of the steps his government has taken to fight the challenges on the foreign policy front. He said that there is a pattern to such APCs. Old resolutions will be rehashed and then there would be business as usual.

Khurram Nawaz Gandapur expressed these views while talking to senior party leaders yesterday. He said that the real characters involved in Panama and the Model Town killings are harming the interests of the country. He said that APCs were held on the NAP and formulation of ToRs but to what end? He said that it is the standard policy of the government to convene meetings of APCs, get the resolutions passed and then continue with the policy of loot and plunder. He said that if the situation was grim that it was, then why did the PM go to London and why did he not rush to the country straightaway? He said that the PM should tell as to the benefit of consultation on the floor of the Parliament before or after his dash to New York for UNGA speech.

The PAT Secretary General said that the rulers do not have the experience of dealing with the crises but looting the country. He said that what a stupendous failure of the foreign policy that even countries like Afghanistan and Bangladesh are staring us in the face. He asked as to whose responsibility it was to engage these Islamic countries to defuse the tension? He said that it is the Army Chief only who is speaking on the foreign policy issues and the government and foreign office are unable to go beyond lip service. He said that the state of internal affairs is such that the PM has failed to rein in those who want to equate FATA with the Indian occupied Kashmir and continue to spit venom against the national security institutions. He asked the PM to take his allies into confidence before calling a meeting of the Opposition parties.

Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that Modi mentioned the name of one province of Pakistan in his speeches, Indian Raw agent was arrested, SAARC conference was postponed and threats are being hurled to cut off water supply to Pakistan but the PM of Pakistan has failed to mention the name of Narendra Modi even once. He said that recent steps of India are violation of international laws and treaties and despite this, delaying tactics are being used to raise the issue at international forums. He said that had there been no pressure from the military, the government would not have gone through the ritual of holding the cabinet meeting.
