Atomic Pakistan bogged down in load-shedding, poverty & unemployment: Dr Abbasi

PAT President Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi has said that the atomic Pakistan remains bogged down in load-shedding, unemployment, poverty and financial meltdown. He said that those taking the credit of making the country a nuclear power broke the record in taking foreign loans and thus busted the economy. He said that these are the scientists of Pakistan who made the atom bomb while it is the IMF which makes annual budget of the country. He said that Pakistan has not been able to break free from economic dependence in more than six decades since its inception.

Dr Raheeq Abbasi expressed these views while addressing a meeting of the presidents and secretary general of local chapters of PAT in the central secretariat. He said that Pakistan’s literacy rate registered two per cent decrease during the tenure of the Sharif brothers, which should be a matter of shame for the rulers of an atomic country. He said that since the day those celebrating ‘Youm-e-Takbeer’ have assumed power, the hoarders and illegal profiteers have been fleecing the masses. He said that prices of edibles have escalated by 15 per cent ahead of holy month of Ramzan, which does not have any justification, adding that the claimants of making atom bomb have not been bothered about it. He said that people need justice, employment, and self-respect, adding the political gimmicks by brandishing the title of atomic power would not move them anymore. He said that since the day the Sharif government has taken over, the country has been on the reverse trajectory of development.
